Lipstick
Lipstick, lip gloss, lip balm....so many options, which is a good thing! This invites endless experimentation, which is what is so fun about lip color. It is true that there are many colors that will look amazing on you so mix it up!
You can wear neutrals for day; darker, bolder shades at night; sparkly lip gloss for summer;
red
for the holidays; etc.
There are no set rules but if you want to follow one for wearing lip color, a good rule of thumb is that your skin tone is the major indicator of what will look good on you. Pinker complexions may want to stick to cooler colors such as blue-reds and blue-pinks and those with yellow, olive, or black complextions may want to wear more warmer, more oranges hues.

BASIC GUIDE TO LIP FORMULAS
1. Lip gloss - most hydrating but least enduring of lip formulas. Wear this if you want a sexy, extremely shiny finish and don't mind reapplying frequently.
2. Tinted lip balm - moisturizes the lips, adds color, and adds lip protection.
3. Cream lip color - longest lasting and loaded with emollients to help seal in moisture while depositing full, lustrous color.
COLOR SHADE CATEGORIES
Each shade is a link for lip color available for purchase in that shade category. I have used these lipsticks for many years and they are my FAVORITE! They are extremely long lasting and have a creamy glide-on texture that delivers maximum color that stays true long after application as well as providing emollients to keep the lips moisturized and soft. Click here for a full description of the ingredients but they contain anti-oxidants and vitamin E to help protect your lips from the effects of free radicals in the environment. If you have a brand you love, stick to that but if you want to try a really great new product use the shade chart below as a general guideline for shade selection ideas.
